About
A recurring theme I've noticed is that teachers who work in early childhood are often unaware of NDIS pathways available to children under six years of age with developmental delays. The Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) Pathway allows children under six years of age with evidence of developmental delays to apply for NDIS funding - without a formal diagnosis. The child in your class who desperately requires early intervention, yet is stuck on seemingly infinite waitlists? The family that needs funding for therapeutic input, but don't know where to start? This resource is for you, so that you can confidently assist these children and their families. Explore the criteria for NDIS access under the ECEI pathway, consider the types of evidence that you can provide to support a child's application, and discover how to point families in the right direction to apply for the NDIS on behalf of their child. DISCLAIMER: I do not represent the NDIS or NDIA. The information contained in this presentation is based on my own experience navigating the NDIS. All examples given are fictional, and may not necessarily meet the NDIS criteria for developmental delay.
